Ann Giardino selected as new Oak-Land Principal

Ann Giardino has been named as the new principal of Oak-Land Middle School and will transition into her new position over the next several weeks.

In addition to serving as the assistant principal at Stillwater Middle School last year, Giardino previously filled in as an interim assistant principal at Oak-Land. During her time in the school district, she has also served as a Student Support Services Supervisor, working closely with elementary staff and families to support our youngest Special Education students.

“Ann is a passionate leader who builds strong relationships with students, families and staff,” said Dawn Lueck, Director of Schools. “She is committed to serving all students and providing what each student needs in order to learn, grow and thrive. Her areas of expertise will be beneficial to the Oak-Land community as they work to build off the good things already in place.”

Prior to joining Stillwater Area Public Schools, Giardino was the Special Education Coordinator with Wayzata Public Schools and has served as a special education administrator and teacher in Arizona, New Mexico and Massachusetts. In her career, Giardino also taught abroad for more than a decade.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of St. Thomas, Giardino garnered a master’s degree of educational leadership from Arizona State University along with additional licensures and certifications.
