Back To School 2021-2022
Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year!
We're looking forward to students and staff returning for another great year of learning! We anticipate a more "normal" routine this year. We will continue to follow all COVID-19 related guidelines and recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Education and the Minnesota Department of Health to create safe and healthy learning spaces for kids this fall.
Mark your calendar for these important dates:
- Monday, Aug. 30: First day of school grades 6 and 9
- Tuesday, Aug. 31: First day of school grades 7-8 and 10-12
- Tuesday, Sept. 7: First day of school grades K-5

- Tuesday, Sept. 7: First day of preschool

Big changes are coming for families as we work to develop a long-term solution to busing challenges.
The board wants your input as it considers changes to open forums and seeks new ideas for engagement.
Stay up-to-date on the daily status of buses, report a late bus or submit busing concerns.
The district has two questions on this fall's ballot - one to replace an expiring levy and another to fund technology for kids and classrooms.
Supply chain issues are leading to some favorite meals not being available and numerous menu substitutions in our cafeterias.
Families must review the District Handbook and sign the Handbook acknowledgement form in PowerSchool.
District leaders are working to resolve ongoing transportation challenges by rerouting buses to focus available drivers, creating neighborhood hubs and exploring an adjustment of school start and end times to provide time for some buses to run double routes.
An additional 7 drivers are available to cover routes starting Sept. 7, while schools extend hours to support families without busing.
