Free meals for all ended, but some free/discounted meals still available

Free meals for all ended, but some free/discounted meals still available

The federal government has ended its free meals program, which was launched during the pandemic to ensure all kids had access to healthy food. Starting on the first day of school, many families will need to pay for their students’ breakfasts and lunches.

Some students will still qualify for free meals, but you must take action

If you are concerned that you may not be able to afford school meal prices, we urge you to fill out an Educational Benefits Form as soon as possible. Also known as Free & Reduced Application, it can provide your family with free or reduced price meals and many other things, including reduced fees for sports/activities, instruments, field trips and more. The process is simple: Fill out the online application or download a printable version. Need assistance? Please contact Jamie 651-351-8326.

Meal prices are increasing

Meal prices will increase by 20 cents for the 2022-2023 school year. Updated meal prices are available online. Keep in mind that you can use Schoolcafe to add funds when your child needs them and even set up automatic deposits.

Free breakfast for kindergarteners

Free breakfast will be provided to kindergarteners during the 2022-2023 school year due to federal funding. Kindergarten students will be charged for seconds and ala carte items.
