Become a Math Tutor at OMS

OAK-LAND MIDDLE SCHOOL -- Dec. 4, 2024 -- Make a difference in the community and join the Oak-Land team as a Math Corps Tutor to help students build essential math skills. 

Math Tutors meet in small groups with students and provide extra practice and skill building to improve core math skills. With great training and on-site coaching, Math Corps prepares tutors to help kids succeed. 

Positions are available through an AmeriCorps member with Math Corps. On a mission to help students build a strong foundation with math, the work of tutors multiplies a student's future opportunities!

Perks as a Tutor

• Paycheck every two weeks
• Up to an additional $5,100 for college tuition or student loans. Tutors 55 and older may gift the award to their child, grandchild, step child, or foster child.
• Child care assistance (based on family size and income)
• Federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment
• Predictable schedule - daytime hours with no evenings or weekends
• Time off over most non-school days and summer
