Welcome to Oak-Land Middle School!

We are excited to partner with you during this dynamic time of growth and development for your child. OMS leverages the natural curiosity of middle-school learners to amplify a rigorous academic experience that is authentic, personalized, and engaging for all.

The middle school model at Oak-Land nurtures positive connections with and among teachers/students and provides a strong framework for success. By utilizing a teaming model as well as daily Advisory and Pony Time, learners share a common core group of teachers and are able to build strong connections with their peers. Dedicated Advisory and Pony Times provide time and space for social-emotional learning activities as well as opportunities for academic support and/or enrichment.  

OMS uses multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) that utilize up to date student data to inform instructional practice and response with regard to literacy, mathematics, and belonging.  We have an incredibly talented group of teachers and staff who work collaboratively to ensure that each and every learner at Oak-Land has a positive learning experience and receives personalized support. 

In addition to the common core subjects (English, Math, Social Studies, Science), learners at OMS have access to an array of electives including  Art, Band, Choir, Design & Make, Health, Middle School Skills, Orchestra, Physical Education, STEM, World Language, etc. Furthermore, OMS offers a vast selection of activities/clubs that provide opportunities for students to get involved outside of the school day.
